In 1937, Paul L. Myers, an appraiser, and his wife Lidia opened Myers Real Estate in Grandview Heights, Ohio to serve local banks and attorneys in the growing Grandview and Upper Arlington areas. The company thrived under his leadership offering ancillary services of sales, leasing, development, and property management.

1958 saw his son, John (Jack) Myers, join the company. In the following years, the company continued to meet the needs of the growing Greater Columbus Area. In the downturn of 1969–1971, Myers Real Estate was appointed to oversee the appraisal, maintenance and repair for disposition of all HUD/FHA owned properties in the southern half of Franklin County. Jack’s continuing involvement in the real estate industry was later acknowledged in 1991 when he became president of the Columbus Board of Realtors.

In 1964, Robert (Bob) Myers joined the company and to later oversee the Property Management Division of the company.  1977 saw the company’s entry into association management with the conversion of the 62 unit Arlingtowne Apartments project into residential condominiums. Accomplished in less than 9 months from start to finish, the company saw the project through from the physical conversion to condo sales and providing the association’s management upon completion. As Bob’s property management expertise grew, he became the 1984 President of the Columbus Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Currently, the company provides the management for 16 different associations in addition to its multi-tenant apartment and commercial projects.

John Myers Jr. joined the company in 1981 to further expand real estate services. In 1984, the company became one of the 1streal estate companies in central Ohio to computerize its brokerage and property management departments.

Today, John (Paul’s Grandson) and Bob have expanded Myers Real Estate into a full service real estate company. Myers Real Estate offers sales, leasing, consulting, buyer/tenant representation for residential, commercial, industrial and investment properties. We manage over 1.5 million square feet of property, while still remaining a family owned and operated real estate company.
